AIMS International Summer Internship Competition

AIMS International (Association of Indian Management Scholars) is pleased to announce the AIMS International Summer Internship Competition (AISIC-2022) for MBA (or equivalent) students.

To encourage MBA students to conduct innovative, high-quality summer internship projects
To provide a platform for nationwide exposure to high-quality summer internship projects
To recognize and reward excellent projects via monetary and other awards
To provide industries with a consolidated single source of high-quality work by MBA students during the summer internship
To create an environment of interaction between academia and industry for mutual benefit, and to provide suitable placement opportunities for MBA students

Eligibility

The project must be completed in 2022.
The project can be completed by a single student or a group of students.
The student must be enrolled in an MBA (or equivalent) programme.

Participation

A cover letter providing a list of student name and project title of each student nominated for the competition (required if nominated by b-school)
A submission form
A letter from the company certifying that the project has been completed by the concerned student
A non-refundable submission fee of Rs. 1,000 per project. Students from institutes with institutional membership of AIMS International receive a 10% discount on their submission fee. Please click here for more details on membership
For group projects, additional certificates can be issued for Rs. 500 (by default there will be a single certificate with both names in it)
The project report should be sent through email to aisic@aims-international.org as per the guidelines
Please download bank details for payment of the submission fee using NEFT.
To avoid physical transactions, you can email the submission form and company letter, and pay through NEFT. However finalists will be asked to bring an original letter from the company.

Guidelines to prepare Project Report

Project Code: Total 10 digits (First 6 digits as Institute's PIN + Next 2 digits as first 2 characters of your First Name + Next 2 digits as first 2 characters of your Last Name). PIN is a Postal Index Number of the location where the institute is located. Example to generate project code: If a student with the name Rahul Bhatt is applying from IIM Ahmedabad then his project code will be 380015RABH where 380015 is the PIN of the institute + RA (first two characters of first name) + BH (first two characters of last name). For group projects, they can use one student as a corresponding author of report and mention his/ her name. For example, Girish Ghosh and Smita Paul are applying from IIM Ahmedabad and Girish is a corresponding author then the project code could be 380015GIGH
Format: 1 to 1.5 spacing, 10 to 12 point font size, maximum 1.2 inches margin on each side
Two PDF versions of the project should be prepared. Version A will have a cover page with your name, address, e-mail, contact phone, school’s name, etc. Version B will NOT have this cover page. Ideally, your name and name of the school should not appear anywhere in Version B, as this version will be sent for review
Recommended structure: Page 1 - Project Title, Project Code, Company Name, address, contact person’s name, phone, e-mail; Your name, address, phone, and e-mail; Your school’s name, address, contact person, his/her phone, fax, e-mail, Page 2 - Project Title, Company Name, Page 3 - Table of Contents, Page 4 - Executive Summary. The rest of the project may have following sections: Introduction, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusion and Recommendations, Appendices, Bibliography, Glossary
There is a limit of 50 pages (inclusive of tables, graphs, appendixes, if any). For a longer project, please enclose a payment for excessive pages at the rate of Rs. 100 per page
If you are using any tables, graphs, figures, text or any other materials from other sources, please provide full citations of the source.
It is assumed that the project submitted is the original work of the author and necessary approvals have been taken from all concerned parties, and no copyrights have been violated. AIMS International will not be responsible for any such violations.

Evaluation Process

First, the projects will be evaluated by a regional committee, which will then make a recommendation of selected projects to the national committee
The regional committee will send projects to two external reviewers. Projects will be evaluated using a double-blind review process (Reviewers and contestants will not know each other’s identity. This is done to ensure objectivity and fairness in the evaluation process)
The national committee will evaluate the projects short-listed by the regional committees and identify finalists for the national competition
Finalists will be required to make presentations at the 20th AIMS International Conference during December 28-31, 2022 at IIM Kozhikode.

Awards and Recognition

All contestants will receive a participation certificate
The top three projects will be given a cash prize, plaque and certificate
All participating projects (project titles and student names) will be listed on the website of AIMS International
