The award selection committee of AIMS International will select three best papers from those submitted for the presentation at the conference. The committee, at its discretion, may recommend additional papers for a consolation prize. Interested individuals must agree to present their papers at the conference (e.g. in-absentia papers are not eligible) and send full paper to the awards selection committee chair by November 15, 2008. No late submission will be accepted under any circumstances.

The best three papers will be scheduled for presentation in a special award session and the respective winners will receive a certificate/plaque and a cash prize (Rs. 20K, Rs. 10K and Rs. 5). In addition, they will be fast tracked for publication in the AIMS International Journal of Management.

1. I have already sent my paper for the conference proceedings. Do I need to send it separately to the Awards Committee in case I want my paper to be considered for an award?

          YES. Otherwise, it will not be considered for an award.

2. Is it necessary for me (or one of my coauthors) to come to the conference and present the paper? Do I need to register for the conference?

          YES. If paper is not presented, it will not be eligible for the award. Everyone attending the conference must register.

3. I am also submitting my paper for the doctoral student paper competition. Can I also submit it for a 'best paper award'?

            No. A paper can participate in only of the two categories of awards, not both. Sorry!

4. What will be the amount of cash award?

          The awards will be of Rs. 25,000, Rs. 15,000, and Rs. 7,500, respectively for the first, second and third award. The consolation awards, if any, will receive Rs. 1,000 each paper.

5. We are two authors. Do both authors need to come and present the paper?

         No. Only one author can do the presentation.

6. If we get an award, does each coauthor receive a separate a certificate/plaque?

         YES.

7. How about the cash award?

         In case of coauthors, it will be divided equally among coauthors.
